Rev. Dr. Marian Edmonds-Allen is a public theologian, peacebuilder, and values-based strategist working at the intersection of faith, ethics, and emerging technology.
She is Senior Advisor for Moral Compass with the American Security Foundation, is a member of the Steering Committee for the Faith, Family and Technology Network, and serves with the AI Initiative at the Neurospirituality Lab at Mass General Brigham, the Executive Director of Parity (parity.nyc) and the founder of FaithWise.AI..
A former church pastor and Hospice chaplain, she brings a grounded, compassionate presence to some of the most urgent questions of our time: what it means to be human, how communities can flourish, and how technology can serve rather than erode human dignity.
Her work spans human-centered AI, covenantal pluralism, inclusive religious freedom, and faith-rooted approaches to healing ideological and religious divides. Marian’s doctoral work at Eden Theological Seminary focused on faith and values-based methods for transforming conflict, and she also studied at Gordon College and Western Theological Seminary.
As a speaker, writer, and collaborator, Marian develops frameworks such as the Personal Moral Compass and Soulgorithm for values-based discernment. The Personal Moral Compass — FaithWise.AI's flagship formation instrument — is now in use with faith leaders and university students across the country, with an institutional edition developed for undergraduate education in partnership with leading universities. Marian explores soul congruence in an age of automation, and works toward the development of spiritually responsive technologies. Through FaithWise.AI she curates research, reflection, and practices that equip people of faith, and people of good will, to engage AI as wise, hopeful leaders in a rapidly changing world.
Marian is married, has four children, and is a passionate skier and outdoor enthusiast who finds God’s blessings all around.

Guiding AI With Soul, Values, and Courage
FaithWise.AI is a home for people of faith and people of conscience who sense that artificial intelligence is not only a technological shift, but a spiritual, ethical, and deeply human one. We help individuals, faith communities, and universities navigate AI with clarity, integrity, and wisdom.
Our flagship instrument is the Personal Moral Compass — a guided, AI-powered reflective conversation that helps individuals articulate their values, convictions, and limits, and produces two documents they can use immediately: a Personal Integrity Statement and an AI Steering Document. The PMC is available for faith leaders, for university students and educators, and — coming soon — for anyone navigating the age of AI.
Our work is grounded in Soulgorithm, a values-based discernment framework that supports thoughtful engagement with technology across Christian, multifaith, and civic settings.
Our Core Principles
Human-Centered AI: Technology must serve people. We affirm human dignity, relationality, and spiritual depth.
Values-Based Discernment: Wise decisions flow from understanding one's core values and purpose. The Personal Moral Compass and Soulgorithm help individuals articulate their convictions and align belief, action, and integrity in their use of technology.
Integrity & Congruence: We uphold spiritual and ethical integrity in a rapidly changing technological age.
Pluralism With Conviction: We honor difference while remaining rooted in our commitments. FaithWise.ai welcomes all traditions and seekers of wisdom and the common good.
Hopeful Realism: We face risks honestly while choosing courage, creativity, and thoughtful engagement over fear.
